the way i hate but love this parallel so much because ultimately both talay and yo refuse to move in with puen and plug not because they don't love them, but because they actually love them so much they're simply terrified of even the mere possibility of losing them. they're scared of not being the right person for them, so they fool themselves into thinking that what they have right now is enough and that it's better not to change anything, without realizing that by doing so they're actually pushing the person they love away

which also relates to talay pushing puen towards pang and sand pushing ray towards mew because pang and mew are the person they really have feelings for, right? they are the person they should be with, and whatever happened between them (puentalay/sandray) never meant anything in the first place, so it doesn't matter how much it hurts, talay and sand will step aside
